Granite Curling Club Evening Men Sparing Rules
Club Rules (no exceptions)
· A social member of the Granite Curling Club may spare up to five (5) times per season.
· A non-member of the Granite Curling Club is limited to sparing three times (3) - total - though the curling season.
· There is no limit to number of times that a Granite Curling club member may spare, however, the member can spare for the same team only 3 times per draw providing this is a “paid-up” position and not a three (3) person team.
· A member of the Granite Curling Club who has paid the fee to an extra division but who is not curling regularly in that division must be called first. (Conveners will have a list of these curlers)
Evening Men Rules
· A team is limited to a maximum of two (2) spares per game.
· When more than two (2) regular team players are missing the game is forfeited.
· A regular Granite Curling Club member may spare as often as he want.
· FIXED DIVISION - A spare may curl at any position. (This ensures the most competitive game).
· DRAW DIVISION - A spare must play the position of the player he is replacing or a lower position.
· FIXED DIVISION - A spare must be a Granite Curling Club member for all playoff games. (Semi-finals and final).
· DRAW DIVISION - During the playoffs, a team may use as a spare, a player from other draw teams not qualified for the playoffs.
