The Macdonald-Paterson-Roy Bonspiel is open to LCA curlers from District 1 and 2.
From 1965, it rotated between the districts, but since 1981-82, it has been played in Ottawa. The event stems from a 1959 commitment by the Macdonald Tobacco Company who offered a trophy to the LCA for annual competition. The second event was presented by the William Paterson
Estate in 1964. The third event, was presented by Mr. and Mrs. Roy in 1965. For more information, go to here .

We are proud of our Granite Day Ladies team skipped by Pat Brigham who attended the Ontario Provincial Master Women's competition held February 13-16, 2008 at the Sun Parlour Curling Club in Leamington, Ontario.
The Brigham team was presented with a $200 cheque from the Granite Curling Club, this in order to help with travel expenses.
Congratulations also to the Granite Day Ladies team of Bev McAskim (Skip), Mary Betts, Catherine Burnside and Pat Scrim who were zone winners and also participated in the Regional competition.
